Your new role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will provide strategic HR leadership across Asia, focusing on streamlining HR operations, implementing standardised processes, and aligning HR strategies with business objectives to support the company’s growth in the renewable energy sector.
This role demands a strategic HR leader with a deep understanding of regional nuances and the capability to build a high-performing, compliant, and engaged workforce.
• Strategic HR Alignment
Develop and execute a regional HR strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals, ensuring HR functions actively support business growth and objectives across Asia.
• Process Optimisation & Standardisation
Identify and implement standardised HR processes to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and the overall employee experience. Drive initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce redundancies, and support scalable HR practices.
• KPI Development & Performance Management
Establish and monitor key HR performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives. Implement a performance management framework to drive productivity, development, and engagement, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
• Regional Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure HR practices comply with employment laws across Asia, managing regulatory and operational risks. Conduct audits and enforce policies that promote ethical HR practices while minimising legal risk exposure.
• Employee Engagement & Retention Strategy
Develop and lead engagement and retention strategies to foster a positive and collaborative workplace. Utilise feedback mechanisms to identify improvement areas, support culture-building, and reduce turnover.
• Succession Planning & Talent Development
Design and manage a succession planning framework to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders. Collaborate with leadership to identify high-potential employees, facilitate targeted development, and support leadership continuity across critical roles.
• HR Advisory & Executive Leadership
Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and other executive leaders on HR matters, offering guidance on policies, conflict resolution, and workforce strategies to foster a cohesive and inclusive work environment across diverse markets.
What you'll need to succeed
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 8 years of strategic HR experience with expertise in HR operations, performance management, and workforce planning across Asia.
• Prior working experience in the commodity industry is preferred
• Proven ability to implement HR frameworks and manage KPIs that align with organisational goals in fast-growing sectors.
• Strong influence and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with leadership across cultural backgrounds.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges, take initiative, and develop effective solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations in the Asian market
