As the leader of Fleet Operations, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our maritime services, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence across a dynamic global landscape.
Your new role
Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely deployment of vessels to meet operational demands.
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies, plans, and processes to ensure the fleet is aligned with current and future business needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize fleet utilization.
Work closely with Fleet Engineering, QHSSE, Sustainability, and Data & Digital teams to foster cross-functional collaboration and drive innovation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including trade unions, government ministries, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and technology providers.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of maritime professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Lead the fleet through a period of transformation, embracing new technologies, sustainable practices, and innovative solutions to navigate a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment.
Implement effective resource allocation strategies and business continuity measures to ensure the fleet's resilience and operational readiness in the face of disruptions.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Maritime Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a managerial role within the maritime industry, with a proven track record of success in senior leadership positions.
Demonstrate exceptional executive leadership and general management capabilities, with a strong ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams.
Possess strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills, with expertise in change management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrate strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute complex projects effectively.
