Your new role

As a Business Risk Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures for their newly established Private Banking business. You will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and maintaining existing policies and procedures to ensure alignment with changing requirements and industry standards. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining a risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the business. You will engage with internal and external audits, regulations, and various aspects that affect the business, escalating issues in a timely manner that require supervisor attention and intervention. Additionally, you will support various remediation programs, prepare materials, and participate in governance meetings, while also contributing to process improvements and providing administrative support to the COO in the region.

What you'll need to succeed

In order for you to be successful in this role you will have:

• 5 years of risk management and/or compliance experience in a reputable Wealth Management or Private Banking institution

• Prior experience working in a newly established business unit or flat hierarchy would be an added advantage

• Proven ability to multitask and handle unstructured work and support senior stakeholders with tight deadlines

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
