Design Engineer

Your new company
Our client is a renowned construction company with a global presence, specialising in innovative construction solutions including precast concrete. They have been going through growth mode in recent years and are now looking to expand their headcount with a Design engineer.
Your new role
- Detail and draft precast concrete components for construction projects.
- Develop precast layout and fabrication shop drawings for submission and production.
- Prepare reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules.
- Ensure shop drawings are accurate, clear, and meet project requirements and timelines.
- Incorporate openings, recesses, architectural features, and other relevant details into shop drawings.
- Coordinate with site teams, production, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Attend technical meetings with consultants/clients as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in precast design and detailing.
- Proficient in Tekla, Planbar, AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Proven experience in residential projects would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of precast concrete design principles and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
