Part of a larger conglomerate, my client is the leading manufacturer of paper and pulp who is known for its efforts in sustainable forest management practices. They are looking for an experienced candidate in the commodity space to lead their sales team across APAC.
Your new role
Reporting to the President:
You will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities for the business, including budgeting, sales allocation, operations planning, key customer relationships, and customer service. Additionally, you will set sales policies and procedures to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness, build and maintain a strong customer base, and manage key customer relationships. You will also establish and lead sales teams in major international markets, ensuring they are motivated and well-developed.What you'll need to succeed
Must come with experience in commercial management within the pulp or bulk commodities sectors, such as chemicals, oil & gas, metals, or agriculture.
Proven track record of managing large P&L responsibilities at the APAC level and experience overseeing the entire value chain
Strong knowledge of commodity market dynamics and relevant product knowledge.
Sizeable team management experience across various regions
Mandarin proficiency as there is frequent communication with stakeholders based in China
