Our client is a
global leader in port operations and supply chain management, located at Pasir
Panjang and currently they are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join the
dynamic team for 1 year (renewable contract).
Your new role
- Collaborate with user departments to ensure their business and operational requirements are integrated into procurement strategies.
- Aid in the creation of RFQ and tender-related documentation.
- Guide suppliers through the procedures for tender participation and quote submission.
- Assist in managing RFQ/tender clarification and negotiation meetings.
- Participate in process improvement projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's procurement workflows and processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Min of 2 years' experience in purchasing
- Possess a Diploma in any
discipline
- Familiar with Oracle systems, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Preferably candidates from manufacturing, 3PL, shipping industry
- Good negotiation and effective communication skills
